Forest Resources & Mathematical Modeling

The FORMATH research society has been restructured in March 2019, from its previous FORMATH research group, which was voluntarily established in March 2001 among those who have an interest in forest resource management and mathematical modeling.

After the first symposium took place at Nagoya University in 2001, 15 symposia were held in Tokyo, Tsukuba, Kyoto, Fukuoka, Kobe, Sendai, Tachikawa, Sapporo, Okinawa, Fukushima, Akita, Roppongi and Shiga.
The objective of the FORMATH symposium is to invite researchers, practitioners and other related individuals in this field in order to exchange ideas, methodologies and information of their own with the main theme of "Forest Resource Management & Mathematical Modeling".
